Ariane Gorin: Shaping the Future of B2B Travel at Expedia for Business
At the helm of one of the most dynamic segments
within the global travel landscape, Ariane Gorin leads Expedia for Business
as its President, guiding the company’s extensive B2B network. Under her
leadership, Expedia Group connects a broad spectrum of partners, ranging from
hotels and vacation rentals to airlines, travel agencies, banks, and
advertisers, through powerful technology that enhances visibility, drives
growth, and brings travelers and providers together in meaningful ways.
Expedia for Business is more than a platform; it is
an expansive ecosystem enabling partners to engage new audiences and achieve
better performance across the board. Ariane’s approach focuses on equipping
partners with the tools and technology they need to adapt to change, compete
globally, and succeed in an increasingly digital world.
Prior to her current role, Ariane led Expedia
Business Services, which included the well-known travel management solution
Egencia and the Expedia Partner Solutions arm. She oversaw Egencia until its
transition to American Express Global Business Travel in 2021. Her strategic
leadership played a critical role in expanding the platform’s global reach and
digital capabilities.
A Global Career Defined by Impact
Ariane began her journey at Expedia Group in 2013,
stepping in as Vice President of Market Management for the EMEA region. She was
instrumental in expanding the hotel network across Europe, the Middle East, and
Africa, establishing stronger relationships with lodging partners and advancing
the company’s regional footprint.
Her professional path before Expedia Group includes
a decade-long tenure at Microsoft, where she held various positions in sales,
distribution, and marketing. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience at
the Boston Consulting Group, working in both San Francisco and Paris. These
early roles helped shape her strategic thinking and cross-functional leadership
capabilities, which now inform her work in global travel technology.
Ariane is an alumna of the Kellogg School of
Management at Northwestern University, where she earned her MBA, and she also
holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California,
Berkeley. Today, she contributes to global leadership beyond the corporate
realm as a board member at the Adecco Group and as part of the advisory council
for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.
